Case Study: Shakedown Festival 2012
Live Event Video Production
Here at Echo Video we love to get involved with local Brighton festivals and events and have worked with a number of organisations such as Brighton Festival and the Brighton & Hove Food Festival creating video content. In 2010 we approached Shakedown Festival organiser Steve Jones and offered our services producing videos for the newly formed dance festival that had its first event in September 2011 and featured artists such as Example, Ed Sheeran & Razorlight. The event was a great success and we immediately signed on to be involved for Shakedown Festival 2012. For this years event we produced a wide range of video content from an artist line up video to viral videos, interviews with the artists and finally a highlights package from the day itself. Below is a collection of these videos which were used online alongside the social media to create a buzz around the festival.
Artist Line up
Combining music video footage, motion graphics and footage from last years event, this video was released to coincide with the announcement of the headline act Dizzee Rascal.
These two viral videos were filmed on the streets of Brighton and feature Ravey Davey, a character created for Shakedown 2011 by DJ, presenter & comedian Guy Lloyd.
Shakedown Festival 2012 highlights
As well as filming the interviews, we also had our cameras going around the event as well. Wandering around the site we had an array of Canon DSLRs including: 2x 5D MkIIs, a 650D, a 60D, and a 550D and we filmed everything from artist performances, timelapse of the site, steadicam footage of the crowd and much, much more.
We love working with Shakedown and hope to continue doing so in the future as the festival evolves and grows.
