This year we were asked by Street Funk to film their end of year showcase at the Dome in Brighton. We jumped at the chance as we hadn’t filmed a dance show before. We filmed the show with a Sony EX1 as the back camera, a Canon 60D with a 70-200mm lens, a Canon 550D with a 24-135mm lens and a GOPRO Hero Cam. This gave us a range of good angles – the back camera was the most important as that is where you can see the dance formations the clearest, the two Canon DSLRs were used to pick out the kids faces so the parents could be proud and the GOPRO was attached to the front of the stage to pick up the ‘trick shots’ which worked a treat.

Once the show was over it took us two weeks to get the video edited using the Multi-Cam function in Adobe Premiere Pro CS5, the DVD authored using Adobe Encore CS5 and finally duplicated by Media Plant based in Swindon, not bad going really!

On the show night we had a stall in the main bar where we were taking pre-orders for the DVD and in the run up to the show and currently we are selling the DVD through our website, this is the first time we have done something like this as the DVD sales are covering our costs and making us money…hopefully!

Here is a short trailer we have put together and if you would like to buy a copy for £10.00(+ p&p) please visit our shop.
