Video Production Partnership – Brighton Festival 2015

Here at Echo Video we love May in Brighton. For a starter it’s Andy’s birthday on the 3rd which is always something to celebrate. More than that though May time means that summer is on it’s way and Brighton in the sun is one of the best places on earth. Even more exciting is that every May we get to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Brighton Festival, England’s largest annual festival that has been going since 1965. The festival is a great chance to see a wide range of theatre, music, arts and anything else you can think of.

Echo Video have been working alongside Brighton Festival for the last few years and 2015 is no exception. As a key partner to the festival we really enjoy a chance to work on something that is 100% Brighton centric and means so much to the City. Over the last few years we’ve produced an awful lot of content for the festival. We were lucky enough to film Vanessa Redgrave when she was the guest director in 2012 and since then we must of produced around 30 videos for the festival. These have been a real mix of content including animation, motion graphics, live events and a series of talking heads with the key producers.

The videos themselves are then used at the launch event in the Dome or shown online to give a bit of insight to attendees about what shows they should keep an eye on. There are a number of benefits to being the video supplier for the Brighton Festival: we get to attend the aforementioned launch party; we find out about the programme weeks before anyone else; we get to see some great shows and of course we get the obligatory mention and logo on the website.
However, for us the biggest advantage is simply that every year we get to be part of the biggest event in Brighton and know that we’re doing our bit to help the promotion of a really great community event.

Here’s just one of the videos we produced for the Brighton Festival 2015 that highlights just why the event is so important to the city.
