There’s no getting away from it, no matter what video production company you choose to use, professional corporate and promotional videos can be rather expensive. Whether they’re animations, multi-camera shoots or simple talking heads you pay for quality. Now, that money isn’t being wasted, it’s going towards expensive cameras, lights, sound equipment, crew members and all the other assets that are needed to produce a high quality video. But still it can be a fair chunk of cash. What’s great about video is that one video can be used in a multitude of ways making sure that you get real value out of your marketing budget.
The obvious one
I would say around 90% of every single video we produce ends up on a company’s website. That might be on their home page as a welcome to the company explaining what it is the company does, or it might be on a service page highlighting a particular service or even on a testimonials page where you can see previous clients say nice thing about the company. Whichever one it is, most of the videos we produce are primarily meant for a company website.
Share it around
The next big one is social media. Whether that’s Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, all of these services can show video and it’s a great way to get you video out there and seen by your millions (or thousands, or hundreds) of followers. And there’s always a chance that people will start sharing the video and it might even go viral.
Send it out
Most companies have a newsletter of some kind to keep regular clients informed of latest developments at the company. Why not spruce it up by including a link to your latest video, it’ll up your viewing figures and keep people on your website for longer.
On the big screen
No, not that big screen, (although you could if you wanted) I’m referring to the big screens you see in the shop fronts & reception areas of many businesses these days. Shops can use it to entice passing foot traffic into your store and a video in a reception area can keep visitors up-to-date with the latest goings on at your company.
Expo(s) yourself
Many of our clients are frequent attendees at trade shows and expos, either just to have a look around or go to a seminar but many of them exhibit as well. A bright, eye catching video on a big screen in your stand is a great way to grab people’s attention and get them to stick around (a big bowl of sweets can also be just as effective!)
The new/old way
Television advertising can be extraordinarily expensive and therefore out of reach for many smaller businesses. However, due to the new regional TV channels that were introduced this year, it is now possible for even the smallest company to get a commercial on the small screen. To make it even cheaper, you could take one of your existing promotional or corporate videos and re-edit it into a snappy 30 second advert that will grab the audiences attention.
These are just a few ways that you can incorporate video into your current or new marketing strategy, for more details on how video can work for you please get in touch with Echo Video on 01273 911345.
